Cadbury Creme Eggs

Cadbury Creme Eggs! It is the one candy that I live for and since you can only find them at Easter well it makes them taste even better. Anytime you wait a year it has to be good. Right? Every year the Easter Bunny comes and brings Madie many different kinds of candy, games, etc but NO creme eggs since she has specifically asked him not to bring her any." I can't stand those things" is what she would say.  Like most kids that is what she says when she has never even put her lips to it.  This year as Rob and I were getting ready to send a little note to the Bunny,  Madie made a request. Daddy can you and Momma ask the Easter Bunny to bring me some of those Chocolate Creme Eggs like you see on TV? My reply....Oh Yes Ma'am we sure can and if he forgets...Momma will buy you some. See where this is going? Anyway, I was reminded quickly that I am on a diet and there will be NO creme eggs for me this year. Sigh! I don't know how I will make it till next year! Dang fat gene.

Wow! It has been forever since I posted. Mainly because I have a job that keeps me very busy. However, that is no excuse. Will do better....just not today.

Oh my it has been some time since my last post. So much has been going on it seems. Now that school is off and running, life seems to be falling back into a routine which I appreciate. Just to let everyone know, we have a new addition to Rob's family. Alyssa Langham was born on August 21st and she is just a doll. Terri Lyn has fell into Mommy mode without a hitch. Both are doing well and we are very grateful. Will try to keep up and post more often.

Where is summer? I don't know how other parents feel about the end of the school year approaching, but I am looking forward to it. This year has been particularly hard on Madie. She is in second grade and has more homework than we as her parents ever did when we were in grammar school. Which is a sign of how things have truly changed since we were kids(actually it is a sad reminder of how old we are). She seems to be burned out if you know what I mean. Summer wasn't something that I looked forward to as a child. For me it meant lots of time spent in a garden and chores. Just sitting here thinking......I am thankful God has provided for me and my family so that she is able to enjoy summer and activites.

Last night we decided to dye Easter eggs with Madie's friends. Yuki, Mako, and Sloan. Yuki and Mako are from Japan and had never dyed eggs. Since this is Mr. Rob's favorite thing to do, he asked them would they like to help. Before he could get it out of his mouth, Yuki and Mako headed home to get their aprons. I will have to say, for their first time , they did a great job. We all laughed and had the best time. Soon they will return to Japan and we will miss them deeply but I don't think they will ever forget this experience. I know we won't.

God grant me the Serenity to accept the things I can not change, Courage to change the things that I can, and Wisdom to know the difference.......So you can see where I am going with this. This morning at the Howell's we started the day off without a hitch. Well at our house this should have been an omen. Mom's out there will understand this. Then out of the blue my morning gets rearranged for me. Rob went to work at 4:30 this am(bless his heart) and I did carpool. Now I am finally in the parking lot at work. Brief case in hand, purse, keys, etc. After sitting down at my desk out of the "blue" I have to go and take of some business. So then I pack everything up, as listed above, and head off. For those of you who never drive HWY 55, then you probably will not understand the frustration. You get no where fast at 9:00 in the morning. So I arrive at the place of business to be told, I am sorry he is not in right now can you come back Monday? My feathers fell. Then back off to the office. Arrive, out again with brief case in hand, purse, keys, etc. Finally I am here, now out of breath, and my power cord to my computer has mysteriously dissappeared. Are you kidding me? Here this morning, gone in an hour. So the hunt begans.....Serenity please God.
